Default My Road Race Car

Just thought I would stop in and say hi to my fellow Road Racers. Here are some track pictures of my car. Most of these were taken when my good friend Greg Collier owned the car. He built it and put a lot of hardwork, blood, and sweat into this car so I can not take credit for her. But he was very glad that I was able to take over for him. Let me know what you think. Its a 1990 Laser. Ill post a list of mods a little bit later

Edit First pic is of me, when I picked the car up from Greg

Lasers only came in FWD right? The 1st gen DSM platform is pretty damned versatile, RR, Rally, Drag, etc.

Is it turbo or N/A?

This was back when Greg Collier owned the car, and before the Shep Racing Transmission and custom 2.4l 4G63 was installed. Which was shortly before I took over. He is a great person and an awesome driver. And also a great roll model. I look up to him very much, I'm not young by any means (26yo) but your never to old to have a roll model.

Yeah, the Laser only came in FWD. GS, RS, GST's were all the FWD DSM's the GSX was the AWD. She has a Custom built 2.4l 4G63T

The car is impressive. WAYYY built. And Greg put a ridiculous amount of time, money, and effort into that thing.

With the new engine it put down 400whp at 12 psi, which is barely anything for that engine. It could easily push 500whp and still stay cool on the road course.

Some terrible luck that Greg had towards the end there.

Good luck with it.

I'm also building a 1g dsm road course car, but looking to do an rx7 with and ls1 for my street car.

Cool, its always nice to know there are fellow DSM enthusiasts out there. Yeah, the car is sick as hell. I have not really had a chance to race it yet. Every year I plan to race something else blows my plans up like an A-Bomb. I hope I can race a full season before 2010.
