Default 2 rings for sale...

Need to get rid of these so I can pay off the loans.

1) Diamond engagement ring. 1.00 ct princess cut center stone with .25 ct in sidestones (baugette and round) all on a platinum band. Appraised for $5,750 in 2003 (Both diamonds and platinum have gone up in price since. I have all the paperwork for this ring. Asking $3,800, just need to pay off the loans...

2) Diamond wedding ring. Paid $1K from Kay Jewelers. Can't take much less since I still have all the paperwork and it's worth that much in in-house credit at any Kay's (I don't wear jewelry so in-store credit doesn't do me too much good other than for resale). Asking $800. That's a free $200 if you take it back to a Kay's for an in-store credit/exchange

They match pretty well as a set, but weren't bought together.

Thanks!

I know it would be nice to pay off the loan amount but when you buy from a retailer, its hard to get almost the amount that you paid for it from an individual...Nice rings!!!! I am looking...

Good luck though....

Thanks for the ttt

Precious metals and stones are a bit different in value than most items, they actually appreciate over time (kind of like land). I'm asking for much less than they're worth because I just want to be rid of the debt.

Fair enough. I'll take the big one to another jeweler for an appraisal tomorrow afternoon, then and post that one up in place of this one when it's done.

Price stays around 1K for the little one because of the in-house credit it's worth. I don't mind dipping a little lower, but not too much.

Thanks for the ttt!

Awww man!
That second ring is the exact one that I bought for myself. To bad I didn't see this earlier.

Very nice ring! I'm going to check the bank and see if I can afford the first one. I'm in the market for a ring for my girl!

Ring #1 is now spoken for

Ring #2 still available (remember, it's worth $1000 trade-in at any Kay Jewelers.)
