Reception is unchanged or possibly better and it looks great.

It's too short IMO. Still, better than the stocker.

I would of just put in a power antenna, that's what I did, and i love it.

The stock antenna didn't last 2 weeks on the 02.
Here's the write-up I used but there are tons out there.

I also have extra d-sub pin connectors you need to run the wire to the back of the radio.
PM me if you don't want to spend the extra $ at Radio Shack.

The reception is as good or better as I mentioned above.

To the people talking about power antennas:
I wanted to improve the looks without going through the trouble of installing a power antenna. This just took a couple mintues

i also want one on my trans am but i already have a power antenna on my car that burnt out. Dont i have to put a non power base down or something? i like yours on your camaro very cool i think they lamost make our cars look like remote controlled cars or something lol

i have a "6 aswell! It may be to short for some, but it definatly looks better than the 8 foot stocker!! Mine is through a different company though, alittle differnt looking, its metal so it shines more. but i also didnot lose any reception.
