They replace your engine's stock air cleaner or airbox with a low-restriction K&N filter assembly that increases airflow to your engine. And as we all learned in Hot Rod 101, more air means more power--up to 19 more horsepower. Plus, the filters can be covered by up to 1/8 in. of debris before air restriction makes cleaning necessary. Is this FIPK new/used? What's the condition? Also do you take PayPal?
Off the top of your head do you know if this will work on a 2006 Silverado 5.3? I'm pretty sure it will, reason I ask is that my '06 has the taller hood like the earlier years' HD style hood.
