Looks good Russell and what's wrong with pink? Thanks and talk to you Monday.

Wyckedcamaro, just e-mail me your shipping and phone contact info to thevettedr@aol.com and I will call you for a positive quote. Off the top of my head the shipping and handling with insured UPS Ground is in the $12 area making for a total of $101.95. Thanks and talk to you soon.

Also, thanks again to everyone for the orders.

I got my black one today and put it on, It's a very high quality piece and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a catch can. I just wish the LT1 engine bay had more spots to put it, I had to bolt it to my coil bracket. It looks nice in there though.

They turned out the same color as the Aeromotive red .

If you want a red can or have one reserved , please call Mike today because there are only 20 right now with more due to be finished 11/24 .

At that size, you better check it regularly! Some cars can fill that up in a oil change. I would like to see the inside. Function is #1.

Here are the internal pieces as posted earlier in the thread.

How is this different in size from most other catch cans?

It is almost the size if a fuel rail. I have had a can on for almost 4 years, and I can tell you that for the majority that can is a little small. I guess it depends on the application. Also looking at the picture, it appears that the bottom lid(which I don't know why it is there) doesn't have a rubber gasket. This is not a bad piece in my opion, but nothing compaired to the AMW can.

Well, I dont want to argue with you and your 4 years of field research, so I will leave it at this. Here are some comparative pics of AMW cans and this new NLP can.

I think the NLP is slightly smaller in diameter, but slightly taller therefore pretty damn close to the same internal volume.

AMW:

And the NLP Billet:

Enough of a difference to be in a sponsors thread talking up another product? I don't think so.

Here is my 2 cents on the size. The capacity may be less then the AMW, maybe 1-2 ounces, but not enough to make any difference on most applications. On a daily street driver and occasional weekend warrior, this unit does what is needed and if you need to empty it between 3000 mile oil changes, then the can is actually doing its job and the engine needs to be looked at for above normal issues.

High oil use on a stock bottom end LSx engine is generally being pushed past the rings into the combustion chamber and not much a catch can change there. This can's main purpose is to keep oil into the intake contamination that most stock and mildly modifed cars exhibit due to the limited PCV system on the LSx engines.

Now for the higly modifed cars with higher compression, looser rings, larger cams and forced induction that tend to be driven harder more often, I can see the can filling once every 1000-1500 miles. We have a larger capacity unit in process as well as a PCV delete version that may be available at years end.

Hope this helps and thanks again for all the orders and support.

Well I have almost 3000 miles on my car since I installed it. I will be checking it this weekend. This unit works and is big enough. If you are filling it up between oil changes you have bigger problems, and it doesn't involve getting a bigger catch can.
