IMO you are better off leaving the LS1 style coolant tube or using both with a crossover, both ways you need to grind the ribs off the bottom of the intake manifold. The reason for this is that the LS1 crossover tube does a better job of cooling the #7 cylinder whereas the LS6 tube does not and as you may or may not know the #7 cylinder is usually the "problem" cylinder.
Save your money and just grind the ribs off the bottom of the intake and cool that trouble #7 better!

I just installed my LS6 intake and I used a dremel to cut the fins off the bottom. Took about an hour to cut them off and clean everything up. Worked out great. Saved $40.00 on a new coolant pipe and plugs. And the #7 cylinder can stay cool!

I'm bringing this back to the top, I know I have seen the picture of the bottom of the ls6 where to grind the fins, but i've been searching for an hour and can't find it

I installed the slp ls6 intake manifold this weekend and just used the blockoffs in the back. When people are saying there is a problem with the number 7 cylinder, how would i know? Does it misfire? Throw code? Just curious.
