anyone do a whistler headlight mod, and paint the inside the same color as their car (besides black)? i have an nbm SS and was wondering what yall thought on the matter? i am interested in painting the headlights w/ chevy touch-up paint Navy blue metallic.

I think someone on here did that and their car was SOM. It looked pretty hot if I remember correctly.

 

I would of did it but my car is silver and painting it silver wouldnt of changed the appearance all too much.. So I just went with black..

I think that the darker the color the better it can pull it off..

Ha! The funny thing is the real "whistlers" (aka: the first set EVER done by Whistler, Chris, himself) WERE NOT BLACK, they were a grey to kind of match his grey paint

They were just so dark everyone thought they were black and have been doing black ever since

 

Thanks(if thats a compliment) They are the ones that I now have apart due to some bad LED's . Was just debating on doing something, but they will probably be left alone with some nice BRIGHTER white LED's.

I would agree. It looks like a colored fog inside the headlights.

 

I dont like it... I woudl eaither get the black halos or leave it stock

 

The 1st and 2nd don't look that bad.

 

Keep it the way you have it.

 

I did the WHISTLER MOD and I couldn't be happier, but then again my car is black.

 

Black or leave them alone is my opinion. Now whether to go flat black, satin black or gloss black is another question. I don't like Halo's at all on fbody's and body colored looks like poop IMO.

 

I painted the inside of mine a Chrysler charcoal color. I didn't want black or silver.
