Default 1st time out with the 408 out today (Videos inside)

Weather was nice, mid 60's & I just got the FAST 90/90 intstalled. The #'s werent the best but I just wanted to see what I was working with. The car still needs a full out tune, im working on that. The track also wasnt prepped & when it would shift into 2nd it would spin the et streets pretty bad. The specs are:
440hp N/A, 437ft lbs TQ
620hp TNT 200, 637 ft lbs TQ
FFHP 408ci 10.7:1 CR
Patriot stage III LS6 heads
FAST 90mm intake
NW 90mm TB
Rossler 4l60e
TCI 3500 stall
Motive 3.73's (stock 10 bolt)
TNT 200 shot
15x4 weld draglites, 15x10 welds with MT et streets. (17 psi)
UMI SFC's
UMI lower control arms
stock springs

The times were as follows:
1st pass out:
R/T .745
60' 1.758
330 4.876
1/8 7.423
mph 96.74
1/4 11.447
mph 122.16
Video of this run:

2nd run, ran other lane & left TC on by accident.
R/T .626
60' 1.727
330 4.901
1/8 7.476
mph 95.56
1/4 11.405
mph 126.36
Video of this run:

3rd run ran with the TNT 200 shot. Didnt spray until I was already shifted into 2nd, then about 100yds before the 1/4 it ran out of nitrous, spraying nothing but fuel & air, causing it to spit & sputter. So i just costed in neutral the rest of the way.
R/T .561
60' 1.636
330 4.535
1/8 6.967
mph 99.55
1/4 10.805
mph 118.79

Im very confident with a good tune, some supesion work, a little more time to get a feel of the car, good track prep. That the car will run some high 10's N/A. Then some low 10's on the TNT.

ITs fly'n now N/A 125mph is moving out for an A4. I just gota get it to hook, then when it shifts to 2nd itspins like I just took off. Once I get all the bugs worked out, & play with it somemore Im confident it will run high 10' N/A.

125mph trap NA is moving.
Isn’t your car full weight or maybe just minor weight reductions?
Get that bad boy to hook and you will be deep into the 10s.

Great runs. The N/A times look promising. Get the Nitous worked out and you should be in the high nines.

No, it has a dyno tune. But hasnt been tuned since the fast intake. Ive pulled 4-5 degrees timing before i went & ran. It needs a good day of tuning basically. Ive sprayed the 200 shot on the dyno, with a bottle pressure around 875psi it went from 440hp to 620hp. That was a pull that dropped off at 5200rpm due to the lack of pressure. Also that was the only pull with the converter unlocked..

fast intake flows a lot different, i've seen up to 10lb/min more airflow, which on most cars can be like >20%, and that causes a MAD lean condition.

If you can get your 60fts down lower to like some 1.50-1.53 you should be able to run into the 10's. what kind of tires you have on it might try some slicks

They are 26x11.50x15 MT ET streets. I need some suspension work is what I need. The only suspension mods I have are SFC's, LCA's. The rest is stock shocks, srings, TQ arm, panhard bar, & sway bars. Also like I said above, the car also spun bad when it shifted to 2nd. My car is running about right with the rest of them in this section. If you do a search in this section they are all running between 11.10's-11.30's N/A. Im also trapping higher then they were also. With some more practice & tunning I can hit low 11's high 10's. Havent really got a feel of the car yet.

Vann you definately need to get rid of all the stock suspension.. Also, when are you gonna step up to a bigger converter?? That 408 needs at least a 4000 stall with those 3.73 gears.

Hey
Whats up with the 2nd runs much higher mph than the first when you were going slower at the 1/8th?

Congrats on the new times

Your guess is as good as mine. The video says 126.36 & the slip said 125.36 I wouldnt say the clocks were exaclty right. I tried messing with some of the shift properities on the 2nd run to try to fix my 2nd gear spin, but I seriously doubt that did it.
