I got 3 of the rims today. but so far they dont look like they are real Z06 rims. no speedline logo and the size of the rim looks like it was just etched on with a pin. no embossing like I see with some of the other Z06 rims. I wanted to share this with you just so you would know. I am still looking to see if the 2001 rims are different than others. hopefully the last one will get here tommorrow. but I will continue to research this issue of them being real or not. if they are not. I will be very unhappy. I mean I can buy new replica's for 500$ and to spend another 265$ for used replica's that would be not cool. o yeah and one of the rims has a little curb rash or maybe not curb rash. it is like someone grabbed the weight and moved it like 6 inches. o well so far not looking good.
thanks

Wesley,
First offer, I've never tried to rip anyone off. I purchased the car from Corvette World here in San Antonio in November of 2005 and have meet the original owner. The 46 year old lady sold it to Corvette World to buy her new 2006 Z06. I have spoken to her on the phone many times and have asked her if any mods have been done. She told me she left the car stock. I have her number if you would like to speak with her or if you would like to talk to the owner (TJ) of Corvette World, you're more than happy too. I haven't done anything to the car since I bought it, but buy some Black Motorsports wheels. I sorry you feel this way about them, but there are two people that you can speak that had the car before me if you'd like. Now about the little scratch next the weight, i'll call the shop tomorrow and ask if they know about this because the wheels were perfect before I took the car to them. It's my fault that I didn't reopen the box after they took them off. I'm deeply sorry about the little scratch. Could you send me a picture of the scratch so I can show them. If you have any other issues, please call me so I can take care of them.

Regards,
Lupe

No NO NO I am just trying to make sure these are real Z06 rims. they have different marking's then the ones I have seen. I will send pics of the Scratch. and on the centercaps the paint has been peeled pretty good. The only real Z06 rims I have seen have the Speedline emboss'd in the back and also has the size emboss's as well. the rims I got are etched in with what looks like a bunch of pin hole marks. but since I just got off of the phone with a buddy he doesnt know if they are or they are not real. so right now I am still going to look into the matter. maybe in 2k1 they had a different way of marking the rims. this is somthing I will find out 100% for sure and I will let you know. not trying to start anything. I just wanted to let you know what I had found. I will send or post pix tonight.
thanks

Hello Wesley.

If you end up not wanting the wheels, let me know as they might make a great set of track wheels for me to rip around a road course with. I don't need perfect or OEM wheels for that

Thanks, Perry

Wesley,
Shoot me an email with the pictures so I can print them out and show it to the technician. I'm going to call TJ @ Corvette World to ask him about the wheels from the diffferent years. I'm also going to call this friend of mine who works @ Freedom Chevorlet and is a corvette specialist. He's worked on corvette's for 24 years, so he should know. I'll ask him about the difference as well.
Regards,
Lupe
