i got mine yesterday and it does not fit. now as much as people think everything is the same 97-02 firebird, and camaro 6 speed consoles are the same BUT 97-02 TRANS AM's are different. I never knew tis untill I tried to buy a switch plate from jimmy jams
( http://www.jimmy-jams.com/ ) I called him and he told me that trans am was just a little different. and I did ask farmer if it would fit because i have heard of this but never had proff but my boot klip does not fit. can anyone help Farmer I have emailed you and pm ed you??????????

If your old clip is in decent shape and not a bunch of pieces then I will see if I can make a custom for you.

 

It didn't fit my 94 T/A either but I did bend the one Farmer sent me to see if I could do anything with it. It didn't really work out but if Farmer wants to see pics of how the older console is I'd be glad to post pics of the console and the clip. Let me know if you need to see any pics or if you already make the ones for the older console. I'd be interested in buying another for mine that fits. Thanks!

 

There seems to be 2 differant sizes out there. If someone would be willing to ship their counsel insert to me I will ship it back, so I can make that size too, that would be great. Who ever sends me a insert to borrow will get their clip for free

And yes porksoda, the pics wont help me due to I need the insert to get it to fit exact. All the ones I make get fitted into a template so I know they are an exact fit.

I really would like to help the guys with the smaller clips but we dont have any in the local junk yards here to use as a template.

Hello, I am new to this board and was wondering if you have anymore of the shift boot clips left? I own a 98 Z28 with the 6-speed and that plastic clip is broke in least two places. Let me know when you can. thanks
