Twincharging
I've got a Magnacharged LS2 in my Ultima GTR (first shot). Now that Jeff Schwartz has a twin turbo in his (second shot) Im feeling kinda jealous.
I did the Hot Rod Power Tour in the states with Jeff this year and I'm thinking of taking mine over there next year - and twincharging it while Im at it.
That would be cool.... Jeff's TTGTR... mine a TSGTR
There's a guy in OZ that's done a few TS setups.....Like this.....

http://www.marksworkshop.com.au/Page...atonmagvy2.htm
Anyone know of any other TS setups?

WOW some great finds crafty!!! how do you do it?? lol
yeah i think you should go for it!! if the new VW golf is twin charged why cant you do it??
really though, i think it could be done! run that huge intercooler like jeff does, run the fans all the time, add some water spray onto the intercooler, nick the deigns from Can-Am dave for his front rad setup to keep the mag nice and cool, stick some meth injection just to make sure intake temps dont get to high (you might have to spray the meth after the blower as iu have heard it can damage the rotors!!!), and say a 50shot of N2O to cool the intake too.......
oh and....
GET THE DAM ENGINE BUILT!!!
thanks Chris.
PS, or you could just have the twin turbo kit and anti lag!! imagine the sound that would make!!! hehe

Probably the cheapest and easiest method for you to do would to be pick up another eaton blower like the one you have. You seem to have plenty of room under the hood(?) as compared to something like a 4th gen fbody. I'm guessing your blower is an eaton m112. You could pick another one up, mount it like I have a picture of, run an air to air intercooler with twin inlets on the bottom and one single outlet on the top, and a bypass valve.
Picture:
Another good resource for you too look at is:
http://www.toohighpsi.com/SCTC/sctc.htm
This guy mounts two eaton M90s on his Thunderbird. He shows how he made the tensioner system, ported the blowers, made the intake manifolds, and integrated the A2W intercooler into the upper intake manifold.

i dont like the idea of twin mags for the GTR! there not a great deal of room under there as it is! also you have to think about heat. there is not as much airflow through the engine compartment as what you guys have with your cars!
i say go for the twin turbo system Crafty. all the power you have now with more ontop! and you could give Jeff a good run for his money then! hehe
thanks Chris.

If you read the articles you will see why the went for the two types of blower.... one for low end and one for high end.... the 2 maggies has been mocked up at least.... but I would rather add a centrifugal blower than another maggie

In the January issue of turbo mag there was an article about a twin-charged 350z. It had a roots blower and a turbo. They made a clutch system to disengage the roots blower once the turbo was spooled. I thought it was pretty cool.

I've always had the idea to do something like that... I wanted to make an Ultracharger.... Basically a big turbo that was somehow belt-driven until there was enough exhaust gases to give it full-spool...
An 88mm ultracharger that'd be making boost at 1,500rpm and would maintain full-spool at anything above 4,000rpms sounds great to me!
