Please let me know, I can't stand it anymore. It's very embarrasing when you have passengers!

Thanks bro!

I might be able to get to it tomorrow since I finally wrapped up my electric water pump install. If you don't hear from me for a couple days, send me a PM...I may have just forgot.

I had that problem with my shifter and then I installed my textralia clutch and the thing hasn't made a peep since. Too bad my Tex lasted only 11 months and now I gotta get something else. I also put Dynomat (sound deadener) all over the base of the shifter and stuff prior to that.

I don't understand. I had a Pro5.0 shifter and my never made anymore noise than hurst. All I did was use a grey RTV gasket maker on the base of the shifter where it mounts to the tranny. My buddy Sswanner has one and he did the same thing and his a quiet also.

Well, I can certainly recommend the rubber shifter gasket from Cobra Bob. My B&M was hardly noisy at all (tolerable), and it is even less noisy now. It didn't get rid of the noise 100%, and it wouldn't be fair to expect that, but I'd say it is 50-75% quieter than before. For $7 and an hour of my time, not bad at all. I'll probably pick up a couple extras just to have around at that price.

Ok well if it quieted 50% of the noise or whistling that's great, but I want all the noise gone. Will dynomat quiet the noise further if I put it on the base of the shifter? Has anyone tryed this?

Your expectation is just not realistic.

Would this gasket be any better than using cork gasket? My car is louder than **** anyways so it probably doesnt matter at all.
