So changing the tune and the cam, as well as running a good CAI, you're well into the 450hp area it seems. That MAY include exhaust though.

Because the l76 is a low compression, low rpm, truck engine that runs on 87 octane. While the ls2 is a high compression, high rpm, sports car engine that runs on 91+ octane. The two engines actually share very few parts,as they have diffrent heads, cam, intake, exhaust. The l76 seems to be the replacement for the out going lq4 6.0 [300hp375tq] and the l92 replaces the lq9 [345/380].If your wanting too buy a factory high performance G8 you'll have to wait for the ls3 gxp edition in "09".

That in combination with being tuned for 87 octane (versus the LS2 being tuned for 91 octane) makes all the difference right there.
93 octane gas plus a 93 octane tune will net a 20hp gain easily.
HP Tuners FTMFW.
