Thanks a lot man! i have successfully made my own remote bleeder line thanks to the parts list you provided. i will try to post pics later. the crush washer and the permatex sealant works fine. you're the man!

 

I bought all of the parts on the list and the brake fitting is an inverted flare. The speed bleeder WILL NOT fit inside this fitting. You need a bubble flare fitting. Guess what, there is no -4an-3/8" bubble flare brake fitting!!! I just wasted $94 freekin dollars. The only bubble flare fitting is a -3an-10mmx 1.0.

We are making remote bleeders for the clutch. With this bleeder you can run it up to the engine compartment or out under the car to bleed the clutch. It also has a speed bleeder on the end so it's a one man operation to bleed the clutch. We are only getting top of the line parts to make them. One of the problems with making them is getting the fitting for the slave cylinder that will seal and not leak since it's not a machined surface. We have found what they call a bonded washer that will seal under high pressure to use on the fitting. We have also found a sealant to use on the threads that will not break down from the brake fluid. This provides a double seal for the fitting. We will be selling them for $75 with Free Shipping. if I had known that this was going to be such a pain I would have just ordered the kit!! I can't seem to find a -4an x 3/8 female bubble flare fitting anywhere. I am going to have to try and machine the inverted flare fitting. I am pissed. I can't take the parts back either. I now live 3.5 hours away from the speed shop that I got the parts from. ahhhhh!!! See what happens when you try to save a buck. Someone needs a beating!

 

That's why we spent months trying to find all the parts that work perfectly together. We ran across a few setups that may or may not have worked but that wasn't good enough we wanted a set up that was perfect. We finally found all the parts to make a perfect setup. So far we have sold over 50 of these setups with only one problem. One customer had a bleeder fitting leaking and it turned out to just be a bad bleeder valve.

no you need a buble flare fitting, guess what there is no -4an bubble flare fitting. there is a -3an bubble flare fitting, but there is no adapter from -4 to -3. So you could use a -3an line but there is no fitting that goes from the -3an line to the 10x1.5 slave. Maybe apple mac should have built one first

 

Yah the "buble flare" or concave fittings are harder to find. And some places have them but it is hard to tell if it really is the right one (summit for example)

However they are out there. I used Pegasus 3265-19 Female 10 x 1.0mm Metric Concave Seat to 4AN, Steel . then I bought a 10mmx1.0 bleed valve from napa. The bleed valve was $2.00 the fitting was like $5. My whole remote bleeder was around $40. Doing it myself didn't save a lot of money but I did learn a lot.

From my reading for high pressure lines like the clutch and brakes aluminum fittings are not recommended. All fittings I used in my set up are steel.

The parts I used starting at the slave cyl are.
1. 10mm crush washer
2. -4 to 10mmx1.5 metric adapter (Aeroquip FCM2967 or Goodridge 305-04-35P)
3. 36" of -4 teflong brake line with Straight/Straight Swivel fitting ends (BL-6104-36) 36" is probably too long.
4. Female 10x1.0mm Metric concave seat to -4 Steel (pegasus part# 3265-19)
5. 10mmx1 bleed screw (bought at NAPA).

Part 4 and 5 could have been any thread that matched and not 10mmx1.0

Just got this slave a couple days ago from gmpartsdirect. You can't tell from this pic, but it is machined flat. PN 15046288

 

I bought all these parts from summit--where do the speed bleeder screws go--they do not fit any of the listed parts

Which parts did you buy? These two parts go together:

part#4 I did not see available at Summit. Perhaps you have the wrong part.

I resent the fact you infer I am giving incorrect information. The parts list is EXACTLY how it goes together and does work. Been on the car for 1.5 years and not a drop lost.
