Congrats guys. I'm glad to hear that Steve's neck is in one piece. Sounds like you had a more than interesting weekend on more than one front.

Not to stir up dirt and **** on the camp fire, but Rick Head still holds the stock suspended record that I'm aware of. 7.66 @ 186 was the fastest I found from 2004. I dont think he's run it since then. And yeah 3rd gen vs 4th, blah blah blah. I hope that doesn't come across as negative, but sometimes we forget especially when it's done by someone who doesn't hang out on LS1Tech.

It was the LS thing we are talking about. Pande was running 50's in the Mustang on stock suspension at Milan, made it to the final against Steve. Pande started a power stand at about 300 feet that made him pedal, and that was enough for Steve to beat him. That is the second race in a row that Pande lost to Steve with a wheelstand problem.

Rick Head's car was stock suspended at the time the record was set and it was done on a Drag Radial as well at the Outlaw Nationals event in 2004. Just because what was once great and now sucks or doesn't run what it once did doesn't diminish the record. That's like saying Casper never went into the 6's on a LSX motor because it is no longer together or that the Yankees suck because they lost to the Tigers in the playoffs last year (ok, that's a stretch).

And Kurt is also right if you want to claim stock suspended for a LSX setup. That opens the fun door of fastest black car with t-tops on a sunday afternoon in a mineshaft.

All the records on here are 'lsx' engines. It seems you are trying to take away from what the Ohio Boys have done.

I'm not. They stated stock suspended F-Body and that's always been the rub. Agreeably on the LSX side no question about it. Read the first post.

The one thing they do both have in common BMR suspension
