Default FS: Trans Am HIDs $125

These lights have been off my car for the past 6-7 months and I will never put them back on. They are 8k bulbs. When I first took them off my car, it was bc one of the lights was shutting off. I noticed a couple burn marks on one of the wires, so I cut the burn marks out and spliced them together. Still had the problem. I then tried both lights on each ballast. And on one ballast, the lights werent working. So Im going to assume that one of the ballasts went bad. The light would work off and on. Maybe there was a loose connection somewhere? Who knows. Worse case scenario, they need 1 new ballast. Heres a pic of them on the car.

Heres a pic of them off the car(both ballasts are still on the car, will take them off once sold)...

depends where you look, but I think about $50. I know tonys99ramair had a pair of the exact same ballasts that he was selling $50 for both.

Is there a writeup on these somewhere with some pics. I have a White TA and am very interested in buying those because of how I think they would look. I have had my headlights off the car multiple times so I am pretty familiar with that area, but I don't know what a ballast even looks like or where it goes.

Its cause you don't have any ballast on your car. They are required to run xenon lights. These cars never came with anything fancy like that. They are cheap like the OP said around $50-75. Check Ebay or one of several other sites.

To the OP:

What housings are those? Id be interested but i dont care for 8k, to change out the bulbs and a ballast it would be cheaper to just buy a new kit but that depends on where and how much the housings are. Thanks.

Did you get them with a kit or order them separate? Is there two bulbs or one in a single housing?

The hella ones or ralley should have a germany or belgium (euro) sticker on the back. They are actually the factory european version since they have different light standards and are required to be open instead of sealed..

Maybe if you could post up pics of the backs?

How was the cut off on them when you had them in?

Where'd you get the housings? Can you fill us in on some of the above questions since you're the previous??
