You can ask anyone that knows or knew me in the Clear Lake, TX area, I drove that sumbich every other day. RUBICON one day, PEPE the next back and forth to work, occasional Wendy's drive-thru for their world famous finger-chili, to HEB for groceries, etc. More importantly I drove this car to the track, 20 miles there and 20 back every trip to the track with this engine. Mike has gone through and really picked up the pace which was extreme where I had it and even moreso now.

I'm still searching for my original parts list and vow to post that on here this evening if I find it. Mike's close though. It also has 3/8" pushrods (forget the brand) and a hp/hv blueprinted Melling oil pump. Cometic head gaskets (or at least it did have), pretty sure that's the crank and rods, definitely "ALL CALLIES" rods/crank and the Wiseco's were one-off pistons for this build.

I was just kidding, I know this is a pure racing motor Awesome though that you were able to drive it to work etc.!!

Awesome engine Good luck to the OP.

I wish this was around before I started my build. I put a little over $6000 in the shortblock not including oil pan, pump, ect.

It made 698 on an engine dyno, and 500 on the chassis dyno through a six speed and a 12 bolt? Thats 25% loss, through a six speed!?

The engine has been freshened up, larger cam, and more compression. Correction made in my first post to reflect why it increased in power.

No sir, it made 499.84 rwhp n/a with the 6spd and and 12 bolt (later swapped to a spooled 9") on a DynoJet. That's 500rwhp rounded up if you work in Aerospace which I do ...

I can't speak for the 698 #'s, PEPE and I divorced at that point .

Should have known better than play in the parking lot, just got the car back with the true-duals though and gave into peer pressure ...think Bizzatch talked me into it...or maybe Excessive...one of them two
