Triple Gauge A-Pillars

Triple Gauge A-Pillars
This goes out to anyone who's interested in a triple gauge pod A-pillar. A buddy of mine and I work at a parts store in Minnesota. Therefore we can get the parts to fab up these pods fairly cheap. Basically you have the choice of a 2 or 3 gauge universal pod. then we fab it up and mold it to your stock A-pillar and walla, you have something like this. It's off of my G6.
Basically we sell them for about 150. How it works is you send us your factory A-Pillar. We fab it up to look like this, then we pay to ship it back to you. Turnaround is about 2-3 days usually. One day to bondo and one day to sand and paint. We do match interior colors btw. It won't be white like this one unless you request a specific color. If you want it factory painted, we do texture it if it comes textured to us.
Any questions please msg me, or email me.

I can understand from a praticality standpoint, having gausges there for a forced induction of N02 setup would make sense, my personal opinion (and I know opinions are like @$$h0l3s, everyone has one ) is that A pillar guages don't belong on this car.
I've see custom gauge pods on top of the main gauge cluser, on/in front of the guage cluster, stacked in the space between the gauge cluster and the nav, and in the ash tray. All 4 of those ideas I think are a better alternative for this aprticular car than A pillar guages.
For better or worse, I just think rice, when I think tipple A pillar pod guages.
My $0.02,
Chris

i honestly think you did a really nice job on the pod pillar.
but, do to said issues it's not really realistic to do all that prep work for a pillar
piece. a nice 2/3 gauge center pod would sell all day.
keep me posted if you ever make such a thing.
kudos for the effort!

Revival from the dead! Just to clarify, there is no airbag in there. IIRC, the 94-98 Chevy C/K truck fit our pillar the best but there is no fabric available that matches.
Another idea that I have been toying with is installing a pod on top of the center stack, just above the NAV/vents. I was thinking about one of these but have no idea how it would fit.....

I'm driving a 2012 CTS-V so yes there is an airbag. Its overhead not in the A-pillar. I cant find a 2 gauge pod for the V and found this thread while searching. Both my pillars are going to be covered in carbon fiber so would like to get a 2 gauge pod built if possible.

For a V1 another alternative would be to mount them where the center AC ducts are. On the v2 if you did a good enough job, you could make some moldings to attach to the "hump" of your gauge display. Not sure how the alignment would look, though.

I've heard that for the V2 replacing the factory clock with an Aeroforce is popular. Depending on what you're looking for, the Aeroforce could display both parameters that you require. Just a thought.

I have 2 Aeroforce gauges that are controlling an automation system so I need a 2 gauge pillar pod. Need them in line of sight and quick access so mounting elsewhere isn't an option.

Honestly, not a whole lot of V2 guys here...might want to try these since they have a much larger V2 forum base:

Already a member on both. No pillar options on either site. I was doing a google search and found this thread. Sent the OP a PM to see if he's still building these.

Dmm, theres a guy either on here or cf that has the mustang gauge thing above the navi. He had to do some trimming obviously, but it fit pretty well. Ill see if i can dig up the pic/link of it.
Im buying an extra pair of a-pillar trim and will be playing with these this spring.
