Well guys after waiting for these for 3-4 months SAS Bazooka finally got a container in and I got half of the 200 6.5" DVC subs that were on it.
I have received numerous PM's about when I'd get these back in stock so I am posting up to let you know they are back in stock at the regular price of $119.00 a pair shipped and I have activated the "Buy Now" button status on the website for easy ordering.
For those of you who are looking for a better then stock replacement but don't want to go aftermarket amplification these are for you. These are the correct 6.5", dual 4ohm voice coil design like the stock subs in the Firebirds Monsoon system. These will also work in Camaros by wiring the coils in parallel to achieve the 2ohm load. Better then stock in build quality and will handle more power.
I will also be including these in my F-body speaker packages standard in the regular package and optional in the premium package. This actually saves you money when purchased this way.

What makes them better than stock? Materials?

 

The materials, voice coils, design, and contruction are much better then stock. They also handle way more power then the stock subs. They use a stiffer treated cone structure with a much thicker surround which is good for about 10+mm of excursion. The basket, while still being stamped steel, is stout. I put one of these through a pretty abusive test recently and it handled what I threw at it very well.

 

Do you have these that work out of the box for a Camaro? I have a blown sail panel speaker and I want to replace them both as simply as possible. If not is there a write-up on wiring these into a camaro? All the searches I found was just for Firebirds

All you have to do is wire them like the first picture top left (Which is what Pentavolvo and I mentioned) to make them work in your Camaro. I can wire them for you if you need me to.

 

These are only a little better than stock. You get what you pay for. If you want something cheap that's a slight upgrade, fine. But it bothers me to see people talk these up a lot.

 

i think alot of people are just looking to replace there blown stock ones with something of same quality or slightly better without paying dealer prices for the pos monsoon ones but i agree

Why does it bother you when someone says they just want to replace something that is blown with something that won't blow? You've been nothing but negative about them from day one. What gives??
The stock subs are cheaply made and use cheap materials. The Bazookas use much better materials and have a much better design over the stock subs. They also have larger 1.5" aluminum voice coils over the stock 1" copper voice coils. I'd say that's more then a slight upgrade over stock.

Damn. I may have to get some of these. I have a 10" Type R sub, but my 6.5" sail panels are blown, so i may have to get some of these.

 

If you have a 10" Type R already then just ditch the 6.5" midbass speakers and get a real nice set of components for the front.

I'm gonna get some nice components, but I want to put the Bazooka 6.5's in the rear seats. (middle speakers)

That's what I thought! I was a sponsor there this year. I just put some very nice components on sale from CDT and could do a package for you if you wanted. Packages include shipping costs and get the speakers discounted a bit.

Do these subs make the panels vibrate ? I want good replacement but I dont want the side of my car vibrating like crazy.

 

If you install them correctly they won't vibrate. By this I mean that they should be securely mounted. They should not vibrate any more then the stock ones did.
Another good investment for these would to install a Dynamat Speaker kit. This dampens alot of vibration that may occur. Plus it is only a $21.00 investment and is very easy to install with them. 1 kit does both speakers.
