As the tittle states, I have and aluminum DS out of my Camaro. There is nothing wrong with it. I was hearing a clunk in the rear of the car and so I bought another driveshaft and installed new U-joints in it and I still have the clunk. Probably the paddle in the rear coming loose.

Anyways there are less than 500 miles on the new U-joints, they are the premium greaseable ones from NAPA.

Yes this will fit your car just fine. As for shipping I would just wrap it in some bubble wrap and put it in a box. The shaft is a lot more sturdy than you probably think. I have bought a couple driveshafts for different v6's I've had and they were all shipped without bubble wrap and got here just fine. As long as the Joints are secure it will be fine. It would take a lot of pressure to damage it.
