CAR IS SOLD!

Alright, I've been contacting people in the WTB forum to see if I could make a deal, but I don't really have the time to stay on top of it. That's what she said (sorry, watched The Office all weekend). I bought this Navy Blue Metallic 99 Trans Am this past summer. Even though I really wanted a red WS6 M6 (see below), I became impatient and bought this instead. Now I'm at the point where I'm considering modding it, and I really don't want to sink money into a car I don't want to keep, so it's time to sell it and move on.

At this point it's just been sitting in the garage with the cover on and the battery out for a few months, so I would kind of like to just be rid of it. On the other hand, it still looks good despite not being what I want, and drives great so if you want to lowball I'm fine with keeping it. I do have the clean title in hand for it.

Performance mods are minimal, previous owner installed a lid and loudmouth exhaust, but he screwed up the fitment a little bit. I had a local shop install a Borla Sportsman muffler to tone things down and to correct the installation a bit. I do have a stock TA exhaust sitting in my garage, I can include it with the car or possibly have a local shop put it back on if you want a bone-stock car.

I have replaced the driver's side window motor and the alternator. Otherwise it has been very reliable and has performed well. On to the pictures... unfortunately these are the best pictures I have, but today's weather looks fairly calm and sunny so I should be able to snap some more later today.

Well, I am no longer looking to trade up to a newer WS6. I've decided to get out of the LSx world (for now) and focus on off-roading, so I need the money to buy a full-size SUV for towing. Once I get bored with that I'll come back and buy another TA

Also I have a set of Lloyd Mats with the phoenix embroidered on them to go with the car, they just weren't in the car when I was taking the pictures.

Still on the fence about what I want to do. Drove the car this weekend for the first time in a few months and I remembered why I bought it. So now I kind of want to keep it. If it doesn't sell in the next couple weeks I will probably keep it and work on doing an M6 swap.

Or, if someone out there has an LS1 M6 TA they'd like to trade for my A4, I'm listening! I can throw in *some* cash to even things up if necessary.

 

I've decided to keep the car. I'm kind of worn out on losing money on cars, and instead of buying different vehicles to fit my plans, I'm just going to have to change my plans a bit.

If someone was interested in buying it, I'm sorry it's not for sale anymore. If you offer me enough I might change my mind (probably wouldn't be a fair deal for you though).

Sorry man... after it warmed up a bit here and I drove it some, I decided I should just keep it. I guess that is a testament to how badass these cars are! Plus after having something like 7 cars in 2 years I'm tired of losing my shirt every time I sell/buy

Keep looking around, if you have some time to shop around you will find an awesome deal on here. Just have to be patient and I'm sure you'll find something!

Apparently the best way to sell a car on tech is to announce that you're not selling the car

I have sent out PMs to the people who are interested in the car, I guess this means it's "on" again. Price is $6,500. Obviously I'm firm on the price because if I'm going to lose any more money on the car then I'll just hang on to it. I've been picking up some more goodies for the car, I have a 10" sub, stealth box and amp, plus an aftermarket torque converter. I'll include all that for $7,000. Cash only, no trades.

 

If you're not selling this, keep an eye on the Purdue Guys... Thread in the Midwestern Section for cruises coming up this spring. /selfish plug.
