Default Why nitrous NOW SUCKS for me...

Not sure exactly what haddend. I was in part and had my head under the hood when it haddend. I was going to purge the nitrous when i hit the micro switch at idle and EXPECTING the nitrous NOT to hit until it hit at least to 3000 rpms (in the window switch). Done it a 1,000 times in the past 2 years. All i can think that haddend was the MSD digital window switch had malfunctioned or the solenoids had stuck open? I really don't know. Any ides from you guys? Thank GOD i didn't get hit by the intake when it exploided and i also had a fire extenguisher in the car.

gotta love those MSD window switches.....I would probably put the blame on it...they are known for failures.

That's really about the only thing i can think of that could have made it activate at almost idle like that. I'm thinking that the motor and everthing is OK! I'm going to do a compression check and make sure it is. It's all forged stuff down there...... I'm thinking of sending the solenoids to Dave over there at Nitro Dave's where i got them to make sure there OK. I'm also considering the biggest stroker small block i can find and put the Procharger on there.... (to compensate me REMOVING the nitrous)

You can take the noids apart yourself and check the plunger.

I have an MSD Digital window switch sitting on the work bench right now. I can't bring myself to throw it away, and wouldn't feel right about selling it to someone. They are junk.

I've heard some mixed reviews on how quickly they react, but you can install Wilson burst panels on the bottom of the intake. Don't know if it would have saved this one though.

That one idiot was talking about spraying his car while it was off and then starting it in the GTO thread. this is exactly what would have happened.

Just a stupid question but why did you hit the microswitch at idle?

The microswitch should be wired into the ground pin of the relay. That would in effect spray the nitrous.

We already established that. Did you read the thread? The MSD switch is not known as the most reliable piece.
