I need to sell my 32mm hollow WS6/SS bar. It's been red powder coated and is in great condition. I have red poly bushings and can supply end links with red poly. How's $80 sound? I'm up in Magnolia but can goto Willowbrook to meet. I also have a similar 24mm rear bar you woudn't want in case anyone else reading does.

How much stiffer is the ws6/ss bar than a stock z28 bar? I apologize i dont know much about all the stock pieces of our f bodys. Interested though, a few co-workers live in Magnolia and Tomball, neither one of us would have to drive LOL

Spring Branch, as in the west side of Houston, inside Beltway 8. You live in San Antone?

Gotcha ... no I have a friend who does live in SA and we're racing this weekend in Tulsa. We're leaving in a couple hours and won't be back till Sunday night. I could get him to shuttle it to SA for me, if you are interested.

The ST35 is a freaking stiff bar ...

FYI ... The 32mm WS6/SS/1LE (all the same thing) bar is quite a bit stiffer than the stock 30.

Thanks Mitch, you're always a stand up guy. Like Mitch just posted the 32mm is a significant increase over the 30mm. It's about as far as I like with a stock 19mm rear. Any further and the balance isn't very good. If you're not sure about the rear yet do this first and then you can go to the rear if you want a little more. Since it's the WS6/SS/1LE bar from GM, it is hollow, which is also a benefit over most aftermarket solid bars by cutting wieght with an insignificant reduction in stiffness over a much heavier solid bar.

I've got it pulled and ready to go so I'll take it with me today. I'll PM you my contact information and we'll see what we can set up.

Your best bet would be to go aftermarket ... like a Strano or UMI rear bar.

You currently have a 19mm on your car if it's a 4th gen and if it's a 94-02 and if it's a V8. 21mm rear bars only came on a 93 1LE and are HARD to find. I have a couple 21mm rear bars in my storage shed and will not part with them.

Now, having said all that, why do you want the bigger rear bar? Not know what you have in the way of springs/shocks, I will assume stock. In that case, the 21mm rear bar is gonna make the car really happy in the rear when you feed it throttle exiting a turn.

Entering a turn, it will be a HUGE improvement. When you turn and weight transfers to the outside, the bigger rear bar will move corner weight forward. So more weight will be on the front while cornering.

But tightening up the rear with bars will cause a loose condition from mid-corner off. While still turning and as you roll in throttle, the bar keeps weight from moving to the rear, causing the tire to break loose.

food for thought. I assumed it would do quite the opposite, my stall converter makes it very difficult to exit corners in first, if i enter the corner and apex in second it will hang on....Barely. what would you recommend for cornering traction aid for the rear? im going to get a STB for the front, got scfs already. this is a drag car but i throw it through corners regularly and take it to the road course on occasion, its fun as hell lol. that front bar made a big differance in body roll and rear end traction entering and exiting corners.

I would put 1/8" wheel spacers on the rear. That will tighten it up ever so slightly.

ive got 5/16 spacers on it now, just the rears. im thinkin of just pulling the rear tires and possibly rims too. Ive got original gm c5 vette 5 spoke 18x9.5 with 275/40/18 bfg g-force ss a/s. thinkin of trying the nitto 555r extremes. not the dr's, the regular radials. prob like a 285/40 or 295/35. if i have to, which i might due to the motor being built, ill get replicas of my wheels in like 18x10 or 18x11, with tires to match. Im not real happy with these BFG's. Im trying to build in traction though. picking up lca's soon, adj panhard comes next.

should i try getting like a 1 inch bolt-on spacer? Maybe loosen up the limited slip?

What tires are on the front? Are you running skinnies? If so, your issue is not the rear, it's the front. You should get an even bigger bar for the front.

A 1" spacer would be WAY too much if the tail is just a little happy now. A 1" spacer would make it plow like a John Deere.

Rule of thumb I use is that if there is a 1/2" delta between the front and rear spacers, it's time to do springs or a bar. And I never use anything thicker than a 1/2" spacer.

I got brand new fronts week before last, falkens. 245/45/17. made a decent differance in road holding at speed, then that 1le front bar like tripled it. drag car yes also my daily driver. vette wheels on the front, 17x8.5. Matter of fact, theres one left hand sweeper i love to throw every once in a while. before the new fronts i could wot and kick the rear out about a foot or two but it wouldnt actually break loose, the fronts would give just enough to get it right. after the tires i almost lost it on that corner cuz they stuck so well. i tried it a little with the new bar but i took it easy after my near accident last time. workin on the front suspension has had such a positive effect on the rear i think im just going to keep working on it. would a full poly kit help stick the rear?
