Hey all,
I have a few parts for sale, as I'm tearing my motor down for a new build (forged 347).
All parts are from my previous boosted 5.3L. All parts have ~1500 miles, except the head bolts, which have 2500 miles.
Katech Rod Bolts: Installed/torqued 1 time, with a calibrated Snap-On torque wench. Excellent condition.
$150 SHIPPED
ARP Head Bolts: Installed torqued 1 time, with a calibrated Snap-On torque wrench. Very good condition (a couple of the heads have very slight mars from being installed removed, doesn't effect them at all, but I'm very **** retentive, and want to make sure I represent these 100% correctly):
SOLD!
Ported/Shimmed LS6 Oil Pump: 1500 miles on it; it is shimmed for 60 psi of cold idle, 50 psi hot idle with 15/40 on a stock clearanced engine. Ported and blueprinted, clean and working excellent when removed.
SOLD!
LS2 Timing Chain: 1500 miles, looks brand new. No slack.
SOLD!
5.3L Shortblock: 65k miles. Spun #8 rod VERY softly. No heat discoloration on crank OR rod. Can still see the crosshatch on the rod. Crank will need turned to clean it up, but is definitely rebuildable. Cylinder walls look great, no ridge. Does not include covers (as I'm using them on my 347). I can throw in a truck oil pan and windage tray, and a truck intake if you like.
$100 PICKED UP (I'm not shipping a $100 engine freight)
Located north of Fort Wayne, IN. If you wanted it all, I'll do it for 400 picked up.
Things I need:
ARP main studs
Melling or GM High Volume Oil Pump
HD timing set (adjustable)
Callies Compstar Rods (6.125)
Turbo profile cam (very picky here, but hey, you never know...)
Millions of dollars (if you're feeling generous)

Honestly, shipping a 200 lbs $100 engine across the country is silly.
You can get a running 5.3L for ~500-600 dollars in most parts of the country. Spending ~200-250 dollars to crate and ship a 100 dollar engine is most of the cost of that, and it still needs rebuilt.
If someone wants to spend 350 dollars on a 5.3L that needs rebuilt, more power to you, and I'll get you a quote, but it seems less than effective, price wise to me.

Bump!
Buy the block or katechs, and get the timing chain free.
The block will come with a crank, rods, pistons, lifters, truck pan, truck intake and rear cover...
