I've gotten several replacement switches at autopart chains before.
They look and function like OEM. Good luck.

Have you tried to get the 98+ switch? I am not even sure if they are the same, just a thought

Search eBay Item number: 280363678193 and see if that is what you want.

I have a used one
not sure what they are worth or should I keep it for the 94 I also have.
Note my 97 Bird uses a different one.

The switches changed when they changed the console (97 I think). I got one for my 96 because I put the newer console in it. Have not figured out how to get it to work. The connector is different. The newer switches are lighted and the old ones are not. I ended up rigging up my old switch to fit in the trim piece where the new one fits.
