Default what are yall paying 4 cam installs?

just comparing prices. ive heard anywhere from 400 to 900 lmdoinng cam,pushrods, springs, timing chain and oil pump

I DID my own just using the ls1howto.com and a bunch of rent a tools from autozone. spend at most 100 dollars. i got qouted 500 in san antonio by a local shop. saved me 400 for more performance parts.

man im leaning towards that route but im not that mechanically inclined the most i have dun is install a nitrous kit

It really isn't that bad to do it yourself if you take the time and have the correct tools. $900 to install that stuff??? Wow, that's insane. So you can compare prices, I usually charge $300 for cam install (including pushrods and springs) and charge an extra $50 for a total of $350 if I need to remove the oil pump to install a new chain.

dang i wish u was around academy tx 4 350 icould help u do it in my garage iwant to learn 4 my next fbody. 900 was a lil ridiculous he told me it would be cheaper to take motor out to do it lol.

theres a guy on here that goes by the name CHINGON. he does cam installs for 100$ ! maybe you should give him a shot. he is looking for new clientel.
