Default Stock Rocker arm Upgrade...

I know everyone has heard the stories of needle bearings being found in oil pans from the stock rocker arms. Well Comp Cams has come out with a neat little kit to solve this problem. (Part # 13702-kit)

We have decided to offer this upgrade to our customers.

I can sell you the kit for 130.00 plus shipping, but then you need a press, snap ring pliers, and efficient way to clean the rockers, and a lot of your time to take the rockers apart and reassemble them with the new trunions.

We are offering a full set of rockers with the trunion kit installed for 250.00 plus shipping. If you send us your old rockers back, we will refund 50.00 of that money. This way there is no down time for the customer.

So basically for 200.00 plus shipping you will have a very nice set of rocker arms upgraded with the new trunion kit.

if you are interested please give us a call at the shop

I do not have any L92 intake rockers as cores. I am more than willing to go buy 8 of them if I have customers ready to do the upgrade.

If down time isnt an issue with you, then of course I can do the swap on your rockers.

So in short, yes, the L92s are included. If you want this mod done, just call me and place the order. 250.00 plus shipping. 50.00 refundable once I recieve your cores back.

Keep in mind the first few sets of L92s may take a few days longer than normal because I will have to wait on my intake rockers to arrive to do the swap.

Pardon my ignorance, but besides the added security of a better desinged trunion, is there any benefit? Like less friction?

no.

the better design is the only benefit. this mod will eliminate the possibility of you ending up with any needle bearings in your motor.

I lost a motor because of this very problem two years ago! It is a very smart upgrade, rather than to lose thousands because you have a motor fly apart due to some faulty rocker arm. I have since went with Harland Sharp rockers but had I been presented with this deal I would have been all over it when I built my new motor.

Bump for a good deal, and as I said guys the $200 investment could quite easily save you thousands down the road!

I put these on mine and by the time you have the jig plates made for the press and CAREFULLY do everything yourself, paying the extra $80 to have someone else who knows what they are doing and not having much downtime is a very good deal! These are exceptional quality upgrades too and I highly recommend them!

Thanks to the guys who have posted here. I think this mod speaks for itself. 200.00 to possibly save yourself thousands down the road.

Since this trunion kit came out we have suggested it to everyone we do a major engine build for.

Is this similar to the service that HS does to your stock rockers? Except cheaper? I'm interested for sure! Road racing the car causes some serious stress and taking care of this weak-point would be great

Im not familiar with what you are talking about. I posted a link to the trunion kit above. I simply press out your stock trunions and toss them in the trash, and reinstall the Comp kit.

Call me if you decide to do the upgrade.

Thanks.

I plan on doing these on my new motor. Looks like a very nicely engineered upgrade. I have always been afraid of the needle bearings in my oil pan.
