Free bump for you, I have one of these and the thing work in just about any OBDII car, GM wise. Works in my 06 Silverado, worked in the 03 Astro Work van I used to drive, also worked in my brothers wifes 99 Cavalier. It doesn't work on the new CAN OBDII cars, ie newer Impalas and such, as well as the Cobalts.

It'll tell you the code, but then you'll have to look up that code. It can clear codes too, all you have to do is have it plugged in, then turn key to on, while the unit is powering up you hold the left button till "CLR DTC" appears, then you let go of the left and push the right button.
