Default seat track question for aftermarket seats (6LE)

I bought a set of 6LE seats and they came with universal silders that dont even look close to working. I was thinking about making some custom adapters to make oem seat tracks work...however I have factory power seats so I will need manual tracks. I cannot find Both driver and passenger manual tracks anywhere for 4th gen (93-up). Does anyone know if thirdgen seat tacks have the same bolt pattern (to the floor) as 4th gens??? If so I can can easily get a pair of those and try to modify those to fit the new seat...

UNLESS someone has an alternative that's "cheap"....I wish I known this was going to be an issue cause summit has similar seats WITH bolt in brackets for f bodies for under 500....

I found a place called wedge engineering that will custom make bolt in brackets FOR the universal sliders that came with the seats but they want 200 for the pair and lead time is near 4 weeks...

I'd just make brackets out of flat aluminum and bolt the seats to the stock tracks, thats what i plan on doing down the road. Pretty sure he has a write-up on it if you search for his name.

THats my plan but I want to bolt the seats to manual tracks not the factory power ones I have cause then I'll have to cut the switches out of the factory seats and it may look hokey

Sent you an e-mail reply earlier but I'll repost some of the info here...

Basically, my seats just come with universal sliders like all other seats do. However, I have a write-up on my site on how to mount them to factory rails...

http://6litereaterdesigns.com/forum/...php?topic=34.0

The write-up is for my old MRC seats which are slightly different. I had the company making my seats alter the bottom a bit so they are even easier to mount to factory rails but my write-up still gets you started in the right direction.

you can use your power seats without hacking up anything just unscrew the switches form your seat panel and then attach them to the new ones(i put mine under the front of the seat )

i need to go ahead and make a write up for new 6le seats because there really easy to install it just take some thinking about how to do it properly

Manual rails because you want them or think you need them? In my write-up I used a power rail as well...

manual rails cause I thought they would install easier and sit at the proper height. I have the optional seats that have power lumbar too...So what am I todo with that switch? Hide that one??? I just want a clean install with no wires/switches hanging around or under the seats...BUT if thirdgen seat tracks DO NOT fit, then i'll try using my power seats...

Thirdgens will fit...

I just mounted my switches the same way they were from the factory (just trimmed the plastic to look like it was made for the new seats). Other people have run wires and mounted them on the console...

Interested in your final outcome and pictures.

I would love to get some of these seats. Wish I would have caught the 10% off deal.

I would like to have rails that would sit the seat low and at a stock height.

I'm going to take out my passenger seat this weekend and attempt to make the factory power seat guide work on the 6LE seat. I'll definitely take some pics...and maybe make a writeup of my own??? we'll see

Are there any brackets that will make the seat sit at stock height installed?

Yup. We send people to a company that makes them for us... It is $75 (per seat).

It is for driver's side. It was for my corbeau seat but I assume all aftermarket seats share the same four bolt, square mount.

The link for mounting on the factory sliders doesn't work. Know where the writeup is located?
