Want to achieve a more "clean/smooth" look? I do.
I bought these because I liked the idea of covering my key holes on my doors. I may still go about doing so, but I'm not sure when I'll have the chance to have these painted.
They come glossy black (so for a black car, painting shouldnt be necessary).
I may have time over the winter break, but have other projects I'd much rather tackle.
For those unfamiliar with the product here's some info:
SmoothLocks cover up those ugly key holes on your door and give it that smooth finished look. If you never use your keys to unlock the door this is the perfect appearance fix.
SmoothLocks are:
* Made of incredibly tough PVC material that will dent and rebound instead of scratching.
* Highly UV resistant to avoid turning yellow in direct sunlight.
* Comes in a gloss black finish that requires no painting, but can be primed and painted to match your car at any time.
* Two sizes to choose from, depending on the sizes of your door locks.
* They cover the entire flat surface of your door locks using a very strong adhesive. Just clean your lock surface, peel the backing off and place them on your car!
* A very inexpensive alternative to shaving bodywork.
They look like this:

Obviously they can be painted to match whatever color your car is.
These can be bought for ~$13-$14 per set (before shipping) online at various locations.
These are still brand new, never used.
My price: $12 shipped to anywhere in US.
I'm not in a particular rush to sell, as I may still wind up using these, but figured if anyone was interested, or had some extra paint left over from previous projects and wanted to give it a shot, I'd post it up.
They cover the locks over the driver/passenger doors. These will also cover up the hole for the cigarette lighter/AC outlet. I have not checked to see if they'll fit the hatch key hole, and I do not have T-tops to see if they'll cover up the locks on those.
*edit* The hatch key hole is a lot smaller, so these are too big. I hear they will fit the t-tops though.
Let me know.
