GT2-3 users please post your times & Dyno numbers/graphs

I've done the search about this cam, but didn't find much. I would like to see graph to get an idea of what the power band looks like. Please list mod's etc

I would also like opinons and facts related to the

GT2-3
207/220 .573/.580 on a 118.5 LSA

I've read that this cam can make 380rwhp on stock heads and over 400rwhp with heads. With only 207 intake duration that seems pretty high. Can anyone with experience or knowledge of this cam comment?

Thanks

It's very similar to a LS6 cam. Just a tad more aggressive.

I saw a few on the other board but the conditions weren't good when the runs were made or the car didn't have all of the supporting mods.

Mine made 380 through manifolds/cats. Headers now installed...still waiting to tune .... 400+ easily according to LPE. Will drag'r down there in the spring. Great street cam. Really hard to tell there's a cam in there at all...until she goes sideways from the light .

Here is my post from the cam review thread on the other site:

207/220 .571/.578 118.5 LSA

1999 A4 car
Mods: LS6 intake, ASP pulley, home ported TB, Vigilante 3200, 3.42s, Direct Flo lid, Jet Hot LTs, Hooker ORY, Hooker catback, Manley valve springs, Ti retainers, pushrods, Rollermaster double row timing chain, Thunder Racing ported LS6 oil pump, and Texas Speed and Performance dyno tuning.
Dyno Graph
This was done through the full exhaust and unlocked Vigilante. On a M6 car with similar mods, I would expect around 380rwhp.

Impressions:
Idles like stock. Perfectly drivable and makes power all through the band. The exhaust note is healthy, but you could pass this off as a stock cam if you wanted. Those that want stealth, power, and have a daily driver; this is the cam for you!

I'll have some track times later this month. Hopefully I'll run low 12's, high 11s full weight, through a full exhaust. I'm traction limited now with my bald Nittos.

I picked up 5hp/6tq with tuning, but my A/F was dead on before tuning. I also needed some codes removed so that's really the only reason I took it in for a tune.

My car baselined at 303 rwhp, and with this cam, heads, and mac mids, it made 362 with the stock tune adjusted for bigger injectors only. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem to like timing much at all. I couldn't even get on degree over stock without getting one degree of knock. With my non-intercooled blower, it would only take 11 degrees at peak torque.

The beauty of it is the totally stock idle and sound. If that is what you are going for, then this is the cam. If you want big power, get something in the 220's with a lower lsa.

I think LPE normally uses the 918 springs. With the .580 lift needs to be a good spring that take the lift. There are other springs that should work well like the new comp 921 or 987 duals etc

Not true. I inquired about springs prior to their install and they infatically denied using 918s. If I remember correctly, he told me they have 'their own spring'

A single phone call would probably eliminate any additional speculation.

No speculation on my part. Ed mentioned using the 918's to me with the blue stripe to me on the phone when I called and asked about this cam. I talked with him ~2 months ago. Maybe things changed.
