i will help you out and give you a free bump.
the guy had the trans rebuilt by a local gm dealer,they replaced the 3rd &4th gears,blockers & syncros.they put the trans back. it still would not take 3rd gear thats when they found out the forks was bent the guy had ran out of money & got pised & parted the car out.

i dont think the forks are that expensive its just the labor of puting them in

 

ya, i woulda been pissed too,prob. enough to go get an attorney,you mean the gm dealer did all that work and didnt notice a bent shift fork,no tellin how much that bill was,sux cause im sure the whole main case will have to be dissasembled to replace it
