Default Dyno #'s Patriot LS6 S2's/224/224/581/114...

2002 TA WS6 6speed

Here are my mods:
Patriot LS6 Style S2's, CC 224/224/581/114, TSP LS6 Oil Pump, LID, B&B Triflo Exhaust, Ripper, FRA!, Skip shift, Fernco, Ported TB, SLP Long Tubes, No Cats.

Dyno Jet SAE corrected: HP 408.2 TQ 393.7

I'm not sure if these are great numbers but I am very pleased. I plan on slapping a cut out on and trying again in the next couple of days.

This is this cars first time on the dyno so no base numbers. Tuning was done by Jeff Creech at Carolina Auto Masters.

great numbers, IMO,
really feels like a different car now, doesn't it?
i think there's another 5-10 hp maybe more from the cut out
congrats on the new combo and enjoy

I don't think those are great numbers but you are pleased and that is what counts. I think that with a cut-out you should see some decent gains. Some might say your headers are leaving a few HP on the table but who really knows.

I plan on slapping a cut out on and trying again in the next couple of days.
If you were hoping for bigger numbers I think that with a cam swap and a cutout you "should" be at the level others are at with these heads. These heads have shown potential but it sucks that they have been inconsistent with it.

Add ASP pulley and cut-out....10-20hp.

What reason did you go a 114lsa over a 112lsa? I'm trying to make my mind up.

Leatherneck, maybe one day we could meet up. I am in J'ville. I have a MY vette, with G5X-2 cam and other work. I am planning on getting some PP S2 heads here soon.

I agree. The cutout alone should free up at least 10.

Leather, sounds like acceptable numbers if your happy with them. I think you'll gain with an underdrive pulley and the cut will really help because the B&B is restrictive.

Can you post a graph?

What's the torque at 4,000 rpm?

Thanks

That is the same H/C setup I plan on having done to my car as soon as my FAST intake comes in Personally, I would be pleased to have over 400 HP at the wheels I do have an underdrive pulley though so hopefully that plus the LSX intake will give me a little more peak power

#'s seem in line for your mods really...cutout, pulley, EWP you should be in the 430-440 range

You sure live up to that "Assclown" statement.

The guy's running an A4. Less peak HP, but will rip you a new hole from a dig.

My car dynoed 20 hp less with the cutout closed (when I had a catback).

Better headers could yield up to 10rwhp I'm sure. SLP headers suck.
Pulley- 10rwhp
Cutout 10rwhp.

If he makes those changes he's making maybe a shade under 430rwhp which isn't that bad with that cam......however a 12 bolt would bring those #'s down to around 415-420rwhp with all the bolt ons.

But then again, one of thunder's cars made 44x rwhp with that same cam and GTP heads, so I dunno.

What compression did you go with?

wrong bro, the 97 Fbody is an A4, the one in question is a stick.

My bad. I can't read sometimes.
Anyhow, the guy's still an assclown.

Anyhow, those numbers aren't too nice.
Look into dynoing elsewhere to get a comparo.
Most importantly, get some track times... that's what counts.

The cutout, as mentioned will help big time, the pulley will contribute, the SLP headers aren't too bad.

Just to give you an example of dyno discrepencies, I dynoed 418rwhp at one place, drove across town, and dynoed 385rwhp at another shop. I therefore say "Around 400RWHP" .

His #'s are fine. My point was with that smaller cam pp5.3 s2 heads would produce the same results. He is not taking full advantage of the heads he has. But he may someday so its a good combo.

I agree. At least 420 should be had with the LS6 style combo, even with the smallish cam. But then again, the 5.3's woulda been a better match for the 224 cam.
