I have a set of stock 2002 WS6 shocks with about 7,000 miles on them. Good stock replacments for someone who needs a set. I will take 75 for them. I also have a couple of Autometer guages, one voltmeter and the other water temp. 25.00 dollars apiece for the guages. I also have a custom made guage pod. It's been attached to the a-pillar trim peice and filled and sanded to look factory. I take 75.00 for the guage pod. It's a triple guage pod and I can send pics VIA text if you are intersted. The wheels are AFS castings and are 9.5 ZR1's painted silver. Wheels are in excellent shape and were on my best friends 99SS camaro. He sold the car to my local car buddy and we took these rims of that car. These wheels have no road rash and have just been balanced to check for straigtness. Again I can send pics VIA text. They have rubber on them but the tires a trash. I will take the tires off before shipping. Make me an offer on wheels.
LOL and the wheels you have on your car came from me, I still miss those things, LOL.
Lol yea the wheels were the best purchase I have made for the car, they really make the camaro stand out and I get complements on them all the time. You ever get you another set of wheels?
please correct me if i'm wrong, but are they just the decarbons? i forgot what cars came with the bilstiens, lol
Yes they are the Decarbons. My friend has a 99 SS the SLP made car. With the build sheet. The Car has the stock Decarbons on it. I was under the impression that maybe the firehawk might have come with Bilsteins. If it even happened it was on special makes, outside of GM's controll. I installed the Bilsteins on mine and I felt very little difference. Mainly because my shock only had 7,000 miles and some change. Even the member with the 99SS ( Atrain59 ) agreed the changes were suttle and really not worth the four hundred bucks. They do ride a little nicer than stock out on the highway but not enough of a change to recommend for a lowered car. If you car is stock height you might feel something better. If your shock are worn slap out, then yes you will feel a big difference. But going from newew stockers, again the changes are very suttle. If you want big change in feel, go KONI'S. NO if and or buts. I did not take Sam Strano's advice and go KONI. He said the extra 300 hundred at the time would make a huge difference. I was looking for that in the Bilstiens ( didn't happen). Don't get me wrong the Bilsteins are good shocks. Just be aware there is a lot of hype for the Bilsteins. Most reviews are coming from guys runnins slap worn out shock on lowered cars. But I have compared them to the stockers and I recommended the KYB adjustables. Simply becuase he and Myself agreed the changes were so suttle that the KYB couldn't not be any worse. Plus the adjustablility is a feature you need for a lowered car. Even Sam Strano said in one Post these applications where KONI's are not an option then he recomends the lesser of two evils and go with the KYB adjustables. I can dig up that post if you want. Now what does all this mean. Well take from it what you will. My advice is go KONI or go home when upgrading to F-body shock. Any other purchase and you will be dissapointed. The rear of mine is still kinda bangy. Something an adjustable shock could compensate for. These Decarbon shocks are not all that shitty of a shock. The 99SS with 169,000 miles on it with Eibach drop kit ( the real low drop) and he still has the stock Decarbons. And you know what, you would think that car would ride like ****. But it doesn't. Pretty impressive. So I believe that shock longevity depends on the driving habits of the owner. I didn't want to get rid of them just becuase they were a good riding shock for my 1.25 inch lowered vehicle. But I need a clutch and alot of my stock of stock and factory parts have to go for something that will hold the power and last more than 3 runs at the track. Last november Track Day ate my stock clutch. Now I have 14,000 miles on my car and It's only seen the track twice and has never seen rain. So I baby my car. Now someone that drives like they stole it, would definitly be able to comment on the shock from a perfromance stand-point a little more accuratly than I could. All I am really saying if your are looking for major improvements in ride quality It's not going to happen if you have decent functional shock. Autocrossers don't chime in here. I am talking about just normal street driving and ride quality ( not performance ). They do dampen a little front end bounce but not enough that I would get nutty on the track. exsample- when you hit a dip in the road and at good speed and then have to brake and turn. The option for adjustability is a must. My overall opionion on Bilsteins is a decent replacement for worn out stockers. They provide a nice ride. But they are no subsitute for KONI's. And adjustability is a must, got to have option. One the thing the blue and yellows don't give. When I bought my Bilsteins it took me two months to make a decision. I read reviews, listened to people that had owend both, I could never get a real comparison between new stockers and a new replacement. I can tell you this. I will be putting on KONI"s after these. And if I can't afford at the time I will put the stockers back on. Becuase for someone like me that babies the car and doesn't do a lot of spirited driving you are not going feel much at all. And after I spend four hundred for something that is suppose to change the feel of the car. It just wasn't there. This is my opinion only and will vary from car to car. But reviews from people that go to Bilsteins from just slap worn out shock just doesn't hold water. If you are looking for a huge performance gain. KONI's are the only option. Anything else is to close to call. And my review is go with KONI or leave the stockers on. Just what Sam Strano said time and time again. Unfortunatly I didn't listen.
