I have a very lightly used set of MSD 8.5 mm red plug wires with coolsox wire protectors. I used these for a few thousand miles then parted out the car. The coolsox have a few white heat marks on them where they were resting on the headers. There is absolutely zero problems other than discoloration. The coolsox did their job in protecting the wires. You cannot see the white marks when the plug wires/sox are installed.
