on the back head bolt, someone tried to torque the head down with some liquid in the bolt hole. it blew a piece of the block out. Its not hurting anything, and its not in the threads. The heads still torque down correctly.

OK, but, what about the rotating assy? Are the crank, rods, pistons still in the block & not-damaged?

Like i said it spun a rod bearing, so the crank will need to be turned. Really, all thats good is the block and the rods. pistons are in ok condition but they have 100k miles on them.

What do you mean "like I said,?" If you had "said it," I wouldn't have asked. Info regarding the condition of the rotating assy were never posted. You've noted pretty sketchy details & replies; I'll pass.
