Hmmmm.....how would these compare to stock....would these help stopping? Also how is brake dust with the pads?

In terms of stopping power the slotted rotors will increase the coefficient of friction which is good for improved initial bite and provides a more predictable response even when extremely hot. Our drilled and slotted variety will run cooler due to improved airflow through the vanes which helps increase rotor life. The Z16 ceramic pads in the kit provide a higher coefficient of friction than the stock pads with reduced noise and dust - a win win combo. They are a great street performance pad that will take repeated hot stops without fading out.

Is this a generic statement about "stock" pads, or specific to the stock pads on the CTS-V? The V pads seem to be more aggressive than the "normal" stock GM stuff I'm used to.

Also, has anyone used these on their V yet? How were they? The price is certainly compelling.

Generally speaking ^, I don't have independent dyno data for OE brembo CTS-v pads available to me. The OE brembo pad is a supposedly a proprietary compound (probably lower ferrous elements and more copper to aid in lubricity ie. noise reduction since this is an OE application). The main benefits provided by the Z16's would be reduced noise and dusting.

anyone installed these on their V1's yet?? I really need a front set of rotors.

I am going to stick with the HAWK pads I already like and have no issues with. Not a fan of ceramic pads.
