First,
You can't get a brand new TB from GM for $115, maybe around $150 from GM parts direct. The outright purchase price is only $100.
If you send your TB in with $110+$15 shipping you don't pay the core charge. If you want to use one of my cores so you don't have any downtime with your car, then I charge $125 upfront and send you one of my cores and refund the $125 upon receiving your core back. It's more than the outright purchase price of $100 so I know which TB's are coming back and which aren't. And I can only allow so many cores out at $100 because I only find good deals to pass along every once in a while. If I have to replace a bunch of the cores that I didn't account for, $125 is closer to what I would have to pay to replace them in a pinch.

Questions????
What's the difference between the "Ported" and "C5 Ported"?
Will they both fit either the LS1 or LS6 intake manifolds?
Can you exchange a "Ported" for a "C5 Ported"?

The difference is the TB itself.... the C5 (vette) TB is a different housing all together and won't work on an f-body. It's throttle by wire and takes a little more time to dis-assemble and is bigger so the powdercoating costs are a little higher and more involved.
All the ported TB's are designed to work well on the LS1/LS6 and even LSX intake manifolds.

Next friday or monday for orders placed on/before this coming monday. Otherwise, it will be towards the end of the following week. Expect about a week to a week and a half if you get the chrome shaft/spring option.

I'm interested but I would like to see some pics of the area that is filled with epoxy.
Also, if I purchase one outright, would I be reveiving a fairly new (low milage) TB or one that has around 100K miles on it?
Thanks,
Mike

Almost all the cores I get are brand new. But I work on a core exchange basis most of the time so people's cores are traded in. Whether a TB had 100k or 1k, after it's completely rebuilt it really makes no difference. I try to use the new cores for the stock appearing TB's because they look clean. The older ones are almost always powdercoated because they need blasted anyway to clean them up.
I will get some more pics of the epoxy area and post them this afternoon.
