NEW 346ci ALL MOTOR RECORD! 10.26 @ 132 MPH
As you know I won the Factory Stock class at the N vs S LS1tech race. I ran a best today of 10.32 @ 129 MPH with a 1.32 60' Well tonight at the US41 dragway they had some bracket racing, I was VERY tempted to enter but I decided to chill back after a long day of racing and just get some food.
So we watched the brackets a while and I noticed that were letting some of the other racers to do some open time runs in between rounds. So I said screw it and bought a tech card and dediced to make a few passes.
Since my car was still roughly 3460 lbs I emptied the ballast box weights (160 lbs) and weighed in at an even 3300 lbs race weight.
First run I launched off the brake at 3500 and spun the tires bad through the 60' with a 1.43 and ran it out:
60': 1.43
330': 4.20
1/8 MPH: 6.53
1/8 ET: 106
1000': 8.54
1/4 ET: 10.26
1/4 MPH: 132
NEW STOCK CID LS1 ALL MOTOR RECORD !! 10.26 @ 132 MPH !! 3300 # RW!!
I went back to my pit and made some suspension adjustments and made another run. The changes didn't help the launch any I just believe the track prep was gone, but I still backed it up with another spinning 60' but a fast run:
60': 1.47
330': 4.23
1/8 MPH: 6.55
1/8 ET: 105
1000': 8.57
1/4 ET: 10.27
1/4 MPH: 132
I was going to try and make some more adjustments to see if I couldn't hook any better but the track was closing as the brackets were ending. If I could only have gotten a few more runs in and dialed in the suspension to compensate for the car having an empty ballast and track not biting, I know I would could have easily laid down some 10.1x or maybe even a 10.0x.
I have video of both runs I'll post it up when I get home on Monday =)

Congrats! Car sounded awesome and ran great! I was hoping you'd pull the weight out of the ballast box and try to knock or open up the door on a 9-second slip! Safe travels back to Florida.
