I would expect it to be in line with the current LS1 block, around 700 dollars.

well i havent read too much on the new ls2 block but will ls1 parts fit on ls2 block? internals and such? just thinking how nice it would be to have a 6.0 alum. block to play with in my rx7

The heads should fit. The LS2 cam is designed a little differently, and obviously the pistons from an LS1 won't fit due to the difference in bore diameter.

yeah i figured i would have to get different pistons , the heads fitting sounds good but what about the crank?
doesnt the ls2 heads have 3 valves per cylindar? i cant remember but i thought i heard this. IF true i wounder how the other heads 5.7 would preform? hummmm wonder if it would raise the conpression ratio like the 5.3 heads do for the ls1.

Don't know about the crank yet. The LS2 uses a LS6 style head, 2 valves/cylinder. You won't change the compression with LS6 heads, since they are pretty much the same.
