Default 10.32@131.70 (1.43 60') - Thunder Racing 348ci shortblock, 6-speed, All motor!

I went out to NPR tonight to get some passes with the new 348ci motor I installed last week. For more information/dyno numbers, look here:

Motor info/dyno thread (505hp/419tq)

The track was pretty well packed tonight with the unseasonably good air rolling through for the weekend. Needless to say, it was tough getting runs in early on. I primarily wanted to get the suspension dialed in and worked on that the first couple passes. With a few minor adjustments, I got it right where I needed it.

Just to highlight a few of the passes tonight:

60' ... 1.443
330' ... 4.281
1/8 ... 6.660
mph ... 103.29
1/4 ... 10.425
mph ... 131.00

60' ... 1.441
330' ... 4.277
1/8 ... 6.654
mph ... 103.47
1/4 ... 10.413
mph ... 131.33

60' ... 1.439
330' ... 4.235
1/8 ... 6.588
mph ... 104.23
1/4 ... 10.326
mph ... 131.70

My best 60' of the night was a 1.409, but I just decided to miss 3rd gear on that one. Best MPH was 135.10 on the first pass when their actually was a tailwind and the car spun pretty bad off the line (10.52). Once the tailwind totally went away (flag was motionless) and the car was hooking better, the MPH was in the 131-132 range all night.

The car definitely had a 10.2x in it EASY tonight, especially if I could have make a clean pass on the 1.409 60'.

Density altitude ranged from 675' on the 10.32 pass to 1325' when the racing began. Raceweight was 3238 lb tonight.

I can't even begin to express how happy I am with this entire setup. There are countless people I need to thank, including Steve Stumpf (SAR2K) of Thunder Racing for the bad ***, in-house ported cylinder heads, John (swapped2LS1) for all the hours he helped me putting this motor together and installing it in the car, Tim H (95 Formula) for the suspension tweaking today, Brian (MADMAN) for a KILLER suspension setup, Geoff and Angie of Thunder Racing for giving me the opportunity to build this motor, Terry @ Cam Motion for taking the time to help spec out a cam, Allan @ FMS for all the little help along the way, and all the people at the track tonight who helped in one way or another (Rodney, Paul, Gordon and that little guy we call Tim )

All we are going to need is some COOL air to roll in town in the next month or so. I honestly believe on a cool night with a hooking track, a LOW 10.0x pass is totally not out of the question!

There is more I want to add, but I have already fallen asleep twice while typing this. More details tomorrow along with some video.

Jason, I can't even begin to express how proud we all are of you! Jess and I were at the gas station when Paul called about the 10.32 pass. Everyone there must have thought we were nuts!! I guess it's time to update your web page AGAIN!
