I see the normal bosch o2 with a connector and some wire. Is that it. I guess this leads me to my next question. How does this interface with HPtuners???

No, that's just the standard connector for the Bosch o2 sensor.

O.K. guys dumb question, go easy on me. I am new to this kind of thing. What does a wideband do for you ontop of what the HP Tuner already does?

Wideband is more accurate for determine how lean/rich you are running

Your car stock has 2 narrowband O2 sensors, these sensors operate between 0 and 1000 mv ... however they are only accurate at or around 14.7:1 Air Fuel Ratio

The further you go away from 14.7:1 (either direction) the less and less accurate they are

Wideband operates from 0 to 5 volts and I think has a useable range of 10-20 Air Fuel Ratio? It is VERY accurate ...

So by logging the AFR using an accurate wideband you can more easily and safely dial the tune in

The wideband will alow you to get real time on the road air fuel readings. This allows for more precise programming of the PCM.

Will that work? I thougth in order for a wideband to stay accurate it had to have a control box (brain) and be calabrated every once in a while?
