Thanks!

Wouldn't happen to know if any bolt up to the 04' GTO do ya? (I know they'll bolt to the heads, but it's the exhaust that worries me).

Hello,

The 04 and 05 GTO use the same exhaust manifolds (5.7 LS1 & 6.0 LS2).

The 03-05 SSR's/Trailblazers all use the same exhaust maifolds as well (5.3 LH6/LS4 & 6.0 LS2)

*see edited post above*

Really, are you sure?

That must really choke up the LS2 in the GTO, seeing as they're smaller than regular LS1 manifolds.

Yeah, thats the #'s according to the GM Catalogs. (i'm a Parts salesman at a Chevy Dealership )

I agree, it kinda sucks to have the same maifolds on a higher output engine.

5.7 -> 6.0 is not that big of a deal - it's the 5.3 -> 6.0 that I would worry about.

There is a post about low dyno #'s from 05 GTO's. Maybe it's the manifolds and a good set of long tube headers will wake it up.

If this were the fast and the furious site, my guess would be at least 100 rwhp.

Yeah, I just found a picture of a 2005 GTO LS2...you're right same manifold.

Those things have to be choked up, if for no other reason, the fact that those manifolds are smaller than the vette's and f-body's manifolds.

The C6's manifolds flow 1/3 more air than the LS6 manifolds, by reducing the pipe thicknes from 4mm to 3mm (essentially a ported manifold).

Well, looks like I'll be trying to retrofit C6 manifolds to my goat...they're no long tubes, but for 1/10 the cost, I'll take it if I can get it.

Why not buy used Mac's? You can buy those for ~250/pr these days.

Its not even so much the money but the time you'd be wasting by swaping those on.

If your not getting longtubes don't waste your time as you won't see much of a gain if any IMO.

Well, the Mac's wouldn't work with a GTO and shorties that would are $500+

It's also kind of an experiment...I'm curious how much more they flow and have access to a dyno...besides, working on a car is fun for me, so if it doesn't work out, no big deal...if it does, well, I'll let you know.

I bought a pair for my conversion project from direct gm parts place online and I think they were a little over $300 for the pair delivered. They are really nice. A full 2 1/2" outlet, light weight and big primaries. I have a set of the gto manifolds that I had purchased as well thinking they would fit on my car. Man, am I glad they didn't. The gto mans have <2" outlet.

So did you put these on a GTO? I'm thinking you'll need an intermediate pipe/ reducer to connect the outlet to the stock exhaust...I'm curious to know how you did it.
