You are my hero. I love 240s and always thought it'd be cool to have one with an LT1 or an LS1. I'd trade the Caddy in a heartbeat on a 95+ 240SX SE with a 5spd and low mileage, near impossible to find around here though...

Nice conversion, arent 240's synonymous for awesome handling? Did the LS1 throw it off at all?

Yes it is a T56, and the tunnel had to be modified. Only slightly though we pushed it as far back as possible.

Surprisingly, the motors are almost the same weight wise (only about a 15-20 pound diff) So I can't tell a difference.

Does it run? Any idea of the weight distribution? The engine looks farther forward that mine sits in my '87 RX7.

I dig the old and new 240 ls1 swaps. As for LS1 rx7's there are a few on this board. I have 2002 LS6 in my 93 rx7.

Any updates on the progress of the swap? Also, what suspension modifications have you made?

One of the coolest swaps so far. Good choice of cars. I, like the others, am interested in the intricacies of the swap. What did you do about the mounts, pan, x-member, hydraulics, exhaust, etc... ?
