Default FMS F13 / Bo White ported 5.3's - numbers inside

I went back up to Alabama this weekend to gomer's place and we put a set of ported 5.3's on the car. The porting was all hand-done by Bo White and the heads looked beautiful, he did an amazing job. I will have pictures and video up later this evening.

Specs on the heads: Milled .019, 2.02 REV intake valves, backcut and swirl polished, production 1.55 exhaust valves, 218cc intake runner, 82cc exhaust runner, 61cc chambers.

Mods on the car besides the new heads: FMS F13 (230/232 .595/.585 112+2), LS6 intake, Grotyohann LT's, QTP dual cutout ORY, Jantzer TB, MTI lid, ASP pulley, free mods. I put down 400.05rwhp/384rwtq cutouts open cam-only, the only addition was the heads.

Cutouts open, full belts, air filter, everything... no dyno tricks:

Through the exhaust it put down ~425/400. With the filter off it put down 440. I would have liked to see some numbers without the belts, but with fresh headgaskets we didn't want to risk it.

Was nice to see you again! I really had a good time doing the installs and tuning on your car and Tony's too. I was really impressed with those heads, you can't beat them for the money.

Jon,
What was the numbers before the heads? I couldn't remember the exact numbers and I had a few people PM me asking about it.

Cool man. Since those turned out so good, I'm going to have him do a set of #241's for my wife's car. I'll post up some before and after numbers on them too.

What was your P to V clearance, with those heads milled .020 and the F13? Just curious, because I was thinking of getting this same cam.

I didn't clay it, but I called Allan at FMS and he said it would work. I checked a set of LS6 heads with 2.05/1.60 valves at stock deck height on this same cam and had over .100 of clearance. I have clayed a Trex on stock heads and it was REALLY (.050) close, so this combo is very safe with good (PRC) springs.

Awsome numbers! Congrats. 400whp/400wtq is pretty sick especially both at 5200 rpms.

No problem man! Your car would have done damn near 400rwhp cam only if you could have gotten your cutout open. The 01/02 cars really dyno good with a cam and stock heads. Start saving your money for a clutch now.

Depending on what gaskets gomer used, 10.7-10.9.
