Default FS:2002 "FireHawk" Convertible **Price Reduced**

I never thought this day would come, but it is time for me to part with the car that I sweated and gave so much for.
I have decided that this would be a temporary set back and I will bounce back even stronger than ever.
I have had the car only 2 years and have put a total of 1,670 miles on it.
The "engine light" is currently on, due to not having O2 sims hooked up on the rear, I was going to get it tuned; but never got around to it.
Other than that the car is still new as if you were buying off of the showroom floor.
Yes, it is a garage

Things done to the Hawk:

Pacesetter “long tube” headers (coated)- Less than 150 miles.
Pacesetter 3” off-road y pipe (coated)- Less than 150 miles.
ASP Pulley with brand new GM crank bolt- Less than 150 miles.
Precision’s “Vigilante” 2800 stall torque converter- Around 400 miles of use.
B&M “Super cooler” transmission cooler
SLP’s ported ad polished throttle body
MBA billet gas and brake peddle set
MTI’s carbon Fiber air lid
Holley powershot air filter
Real carbon fiber customer fuel rail covers w/Firehawk logo
Flowtech “race-ready” cut-out
Polished and replaced center tail section
BMR weld-in sub frame connectors
BMR X-treme strut tower brace
Hotchkis performance lowering springs
Bad-Z dual adjustable pan-hard bar
New Corvette “ZO6” caliper’s (front and rear)- Less than 100 miles.
Crossed drilled/slotted rotors (front and rear)- Less than 100 miles.
HP EVO “New Lighting” 19x9.5 rims
Nitto 275/30/19 tires
Macewan Motorsports “silver” gauge overlay with Firehawk logo
Fast toys ram air kit w/block-off plate
Throttle body by-pass from BMR
Last of the Breed badge package
Metco crankcase breather
Smooth bellow
Firehawk engine plaque

I still have all of the “stock” parts that were changed out with mods that I have done. These will go with the car or will be sold separate, depending on the new buyer.
The car is in “pristine” condition, and still has the new car smell. I apply Zano waxes and use Maguire’s gold leather cleaner and conditioner religiously, so there are no cracks or wornness in the leather.
I planned on entering this car in many car shows and to keep it as a family heirloom to be passed down by my kids, but I am a family guy and I am currently looking into getting a 30’ travel trailer along with a Ford diesel excursion. I cannot afford all three, so the Hawk must be sacrificed.
If you are looking to have cheaper insurance and are not going to use this car as a daily driver, then you can do what I did.
I put this on “collector” car insurance and only pay around $375.00/year. But you are only allowed to drive it on weekends and are able to attend car club gatherings and car shows.

This won’t be the last car for me, so everyone DO NOT count me out of the car scene just yet. I will probably come up with a classic car with an LS2 engine in it somewhere down the road.

There are no “confirmed” production numbers for these cars from SLP or GM.
But, there are strong estimates that there were 1,502 Firehawk’s built in 2002 and out of those there were only 17-21 of these built with black on black convertibles with an automatic transmission. So this is a somewhat rare bird and hard to find low mileage Hawk.

I hope to find a loving and caring home for this car soon, even though I am in no hurry to get rid of her.

**Update**

I forgot to mention that there is a transferrable warranty, that i got from CarMax when I bought the car from them.

It is as follows:

Expires with 98,121 miles on the odometer or until November 10,2009.

If you take the car to a licensed CarMax dealer it is only a $50.00 deductible, if you take it to another place that is authorized by a Carmax dealership it is only $75.00. BUT you will have to call CarMax's 800 number to see if they are a registered facility.

The warranty has a $30.00 transfer fee to the new owner.

Here are the pics...........

With "stock" firehawk rims and tires

Asking price below
Kelley Blue Book says: Trade in value- $23,450
Retail value- $27,825
Private Party- $25,610.33
**Keep in mind KBB doesn't have a "FireHawk" option**

NADA guide says "Excellent" condition $34,875.00
The NADA guide does have a "FireHawk" option.

I am asking $31,000 with the CURRENT rims and tires or $30,000 with the stock "FireHawk" rims and tires.

**I WILL NOT SEPERATE ANYTHING OFF OF THIS CAR, SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK**

***UPDATE***7/30/2005
Price reduced to $27,000 WITHOUT the transferrable warranty.

I have been noticing some t-top Hawks going for around 23 to 24k with around 15k to 20,xxx miles on them with no performance mods. I figured for a few thousand more you can have a low count convertible Hawk with some performance mods.[/b]

Any questions feel free to PM me or e-mail me

I am located in Houston, TX.
Jeremy

I beleive that's Nineballs car, but not sure exactly. You might just want to PM him and ask, you give him the right price and who knows.

Thanks to all!!!!
The orange SS is NineBall's.

Brad, the reason to sell, is the fact that I will get more joy and satisfaction from doing alot of things with my family and seeing the smiles on my kids faces, rather than having the car sit in the garage and being restricted from doing alot of other things with the kids.

BUT, I will be getting another car, maybe a 1st gen firebird or something sooner or later. This is just a temporary set back.

That's as mint as any Firehawk can get beside o miles. Couple years ago that would cost close to 40k on the showroom. This Firehawk is loaded with extras and it's among the best of the 4th gen cars. Worth every bit. Sorry for your loss, I wish you luck with your next project someday. How about this: sell it to someone who will let you get it back 10 years from now when you come to your senses.

I thought about that, especially a family member. But no luck.
I am going to put it up on Ebay later today and see what happens.
Like I said before I am in no hurry to sell. I guess you can say that i'm waiting for that right buyer

in 20 years, you will be checking out a car show and see something similar on display. Then you'll kick yourself in the *** for selling this pristine example. I'll be standing down the row kicking myself in the *** while looking at a 35th SS convertible.

This car is IMMACULATE folks. You won't find a cleaner Firehawk, period. If it were a 6-speed I'd probably buy it, lol.

Hmmmm.... the A4 is more rare and looks really good next to your Orange SS .

If I could afford the other things and this that I will be getting, then I would be keeping it.
But unfortunately my money tree in the back-yard isn't producing yet

Plus A4's can go fast.......

.......with a 5,000 stall of course ......
