Another 10 second cam only LS1!

Another 10 second cam only LS1!
Well it took me about 30 passes with my new setup (G5X4 cam, TH350, ATI 4900, 27" QTP's) but I finally made it into the 10 second club last night. I ran 11.09, 11.05, 11.04, 11.03 and then hotlapped the last pass and went 10.998 @ 122.00 mph with a 1.504 short time. DA was 1378'. I should see some 10.8x's in negative DA this Fall, possibly even a 10.7x with a few more tuning tweaks. I just wish I had the money for a FAST 90 Intake and TB and an electric H2O pump.

Thanks man! It's not even close to the top 3 cam only cars but for my neck of the woods it's pretty respectable.
3300 lbs is with me in the car. It could be 20~30 lbs lighter or heavier, I'm not 100% sure. I weighed it last year and it was 3340 with me, my laptop and my camera in the car. Since then I have got a lighter seat and a lighter transmission. How much lighter I'm not sure. I'd like to get my raceweight down around 3200. That way it will run about a tenth quicker but if I want to run in some of the ls1 series races I can just fill er up and run on a full tank of gas, which should put me around 3300 again. I think that is the minimum weight requirement for Super Stock. Then again, I doubt I would even be competitive in that class.

Congrats Derrick...
on a side note: You need to re-weigh the car...
I have a hard time believing it's still 3300lbs after swapping from a 4L60E w/ a lock up 9.5" converter to a TH350 w/ an 8" converter. You should've lost weight with the swap

does "cam only" mean simply every possible mod except heads? Anyway, congrats on the time....its amazing how well LS1's respond to big cams. Our stock LS1 heads are simply badass and allow for huge power on a small engine.

I will re-weigh it. I agree it is probably below 3300 lbs by now but it just sounds more impressive with the higher weight. J/K I'll update the cam only list once I find out for sure.
I did weigh 3340 last year, which surprised me because I have done a lot of weight reduction mods. Even if I'm around 3250 now, I don't know how some of these guys get below 3100 lbs. I wish I knew.
