Default FS: LS1 Long Block - Houston area

I have a used 02 LS1 for sale.
Corvette oil pan installed, but the engine came out of a WS6. (We bought a new engine from GM and it had a Vette pan on it so we swapped pans.)

Head casting # is 241

Block casting # is 12559378

Engine was replaced because cylinder #5 was 40psi lower than all other cylinders. Upper compression ring was toast but the cylinder isn't scored at all, but warranty said to put a new engine in the car. (I work at a dealership)

All of the LS1's I've found for sale are in the $1,000-1,300 range, so I'll sell it to one of you guy's for $600.00. Gotta pic it up though.....I'm not shipping it. Too much of a pain in tha ***.

HRJ@LS1GTO.com or cell phone 713-819-5363

EDIT!! I forgot....engine has 37,299 miles

Any accessories with this? The #5 upper compression ring has been replaced or needs to be?

No accessories.......no repair has been done to the engine. It was simply bolted back together and placed in the crate that the replacement engine came out of.

BTW....to save you from asking...Im firm on this price. The main reason I decided to sell it at this low price is to not have to deal with negotiating. If you want it, $600 takes it.

something dont sound right simply because my last crate motor i got under warranty had intake to oil pan with manifolds etc all in place...Let me give it some thought...I may just go to my local core yard and pick one up for a little less with an intake on it. TTT for ya.

Don't you have a plenum to swap anyway? Even if you don't it gives you more options when you do add it instead fo just an OEM LS6 intake.

I think $600 is a steal for a building block!

the ls6 intake is not included? Are you positive that it is a simple fix? I only ask because I fear buying it then when taking it to get repaired they come back and tell me the block is cracked or something else that would mean the engine is worthless...anyways, let me know I am interested

thanks!

Mike,
I'd like to know where you can get a longblock ls1 for less thatn 600 bucks around here. Hell find me a 4l80e for that cheap and I'll take it.

600 for this is a good deal the heads are worth 250, the crank 150 and the block 450. Do the math.
