where is the best place to get a new computer?

Default where is the best place to get a new computer?

i used to have a jet chip in my car and when i pulled it out the little prongs in the were messed up and i was told i needed a new one. there were some that bent and some were pushed completely pushed in.

I got one off of ebay relatively cheap. You would probably need some one to reflash your tune/VIN onto the "new" PCM.

I got mine from "valvegod", several years back now
(it must have been good ju-ju because since buying
a spare I have yet to fry a PCM). You need to take
some care, would not want to pick up a '98 PCM for
a '99-up, etc. I know the trucks and F-bodies of my
year were same hardware. I do not have any interchange
info other than that. I took my new PCM down to the
dealership and got an in-car reflash to my VIN (this was
back when I only had the Predator, and this worked out
OK, Pred didn't know the difference). In-car reflash is
something any dealership can do and the cheapest way
(when dealing with a dealership).

I sell them for 107.70 shipped to your door, ready to go with your vin and everything. If it is a 99 up pcm. the 97 98 computers cost more.

Well, the cheapest place i can find them is 175 a piece. It is rediculous how much they are.... I sell them for my exact cost. The streetrodder guys really raised the prices on them......

I've got a 2001 Z06, fully modded - 4" Eagle crank, Eagle rods, 3.912 bore Mahle 11-1 pistons, , full tilt heads - 64cc , flow 320CFM at .650 at 28 inches water, , valves Ferrea undercut 2.08 by 1.60, Comp XER281 with Crane 1.8s -so about 235 deg at .050, and .636 lift, comp comp-R lifters at zero lash, springs are 140psi closed, 420 open at .650, 160 deg slp thermostat, 25%underdrive pulley, 1 3/4 kooks no cats, 3 inches all the way, 42lb svo -green body injectors, edelbrock Victor manifold, elbow to the std 85mm tb and maf, Kand N filter, Vararam, 6 speed, obviously. Hoping to have magic worked - peak around 7000, hopefully, with 7200 rpm - if the lifters don't collapse -I've only run this with the stock injectors so far, as no 28 to 42 plus pcm mod done yet - a wee bit rich - like 60 percent or so. interested in the preprogrammed pcm - phone 425-347-3160.
