We headed to Atco yesterday for some test and tuning. Weather was great and it was time to bump up the boost another pound.

I ran an 8.81 and 8.74 before the last run of the night:

60' - 1.292 first time the car 60' in 1.2s
330 - 3.607
1/8 - 5.529 @ 127.58
990 - 7.159
1/4 - 8.636 @ 157.08

This was an incredibly cool run. I felt like the car actually carried the front a little longer. Video will be up later. Thanks to Brent the Boost Devil!!

I really appreciate Julio coming down tonight to "do the voodoo that he do." Huge props to Cartek and Neverlift. Car ran very well tonight.

If you want to go fast - Cartek. If you want to go straight - Neverlift Excellent job by both shops. I don't know what to expect from this car any more. We still have about 2 more pounds of boost. My goal is to hit 8.5s. After today's runs I really think she has it in her. Anything beyond 8.5 is going to require another trip to Neverlift Stock displacement and LS6 heads. Can you believe it?

I believe pro-stockers are right around 1.00-1.05 if I'm not mistaken...but that's a 2400 lb chassis car which is nothing like a heavy-*** corvette.

1.29 is badass nonetheless.

 

Lol goin faster in the 8th then most in the 1/4. That is hot. I would love to go that fast. Any chance ya can give us a estimate how much money you have into the car and makin it and you legal for the 8's? I bet its alot. GL man

It's funny....... I never thought that I'd notice a difference of 1/10th of a second but I knew that this was an 8.6X pass when I crossed the traps. It happened too damn fast to be anything else. I can't imagine what happens in the cockpit of a Pro Stocker or funny car.

The launches are getting SICK. That's by far my favorite part of the run. Some guys are about the top end speed, I'm more about the acceleration. That feeling you get after you release the trans brake button is just awesome. I'm just blabbing so I'll STFU now and let you see it for yourself: Video

 

Oh, to answer the questions.... John, I don't have mini tubs but the 28s clear (just had to take out the inner wheel well liners).

Another 2 lbs and cooler temps should put me into 8.4s

As far as estimated cost...... It's well into 6 figures (including the car) by now. I'm probably in for around $130,000

Did you get your 10 point Cert'd while they were still good to 7.50's? If not, are you going to hack the car up to go 25.5, or are you just gonna have fun with it at 8.5's?
